B. DERREL DUPLECHIN
As Director of Engineering, B. Derrel Duplechin's primary responsibilities at
CCG Consulting, Inc., are network design, cost estimation, planning,
specification and procurement of equipment, construction management,
commissioning, testing, interconnection and startup of Competitive Local
Exchange Carrier (CLEC) systems.
During his career, Mr. Duplechin has provided consulting services for
Independent Telephone Companies, CLECs, Wireline and Wireless based CATV
Companies, Personal Communication Services (PCS) Companies and Long Distance
Companies. He gained experience with multiple switching platforms as well as
other network platforms including Signaling System Seven (SS7) and Advanced
Intelligent Network (AIN). Through his work with CLECs and Incumbent LECs, Mr.
Duplechin attained an in-depth knowledge of multiple local and long distance
service methods utilizing access through Unbundled Network Elements (UNEs)
provided by Local Exchange Carriers. Additionally, he has been involved in the
planning of major overbuild projects utilizing Wireless Local Loop and Hybrid
Fiber-Coax networks.
Mr. Duplechin began his career with the State of Louisiana, Office of
Telecommunications Management where he served as a Project Engineer for the
design and implementation of State telecommunications projects. In 1992, he
joined Hart Engineers in Baton Rouge, LA, where he held various Engineering
positions. He was responsible for multiple stages of telecommunications network
implementation including strategic planning, network design, financing, testing
and installation. In April 1999, Mr. Duplechin joined CCG as the Director of
Engineering.
Mr. Duplechin received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from
the University of Southwestern Louisiana and is currently completing a Masters
of Science degree in Telecommunications. He continues to attend professional
courses and seminars to maintain expertise in the newer technologies, services
and service methods associated with a competitive telecommunications
environment.
